The Marauder JV jumped out to a 3-0 lead against Nashua South and held on despite two late goals to beat the Purple Panthers 3-1. Hanover is now 6-1 on the season.
The Marauders put the game away with three goals in an eight-minute stretch. 14 minutes into the contest, Owen Stadheim collected his first goal of the year, converting a pass from Christo Dragnev and depositing the ball into the lower left corner. Three minutes later, Lincoln Adam made the score 2-0. Dragnev got his head on a corner kick, and the ball was punched in the air by the Nashua South goalkeeper. Adam got to the ball first and headed it inside the left post. Five minutes after that, center midfielder Colm Seigne played Sawyer Hanlon into space and the hard-working striker tucked the ball into the lower left corner for his third goal of the season.
Nashua South struck for two goals in the final ten minutes, but the Marauder defense tightened and Hanover emerged with a hard-fought 3-2 win. Hanover's next game is against Merrimack on Friday at 3:45 at the GPS fields in Bedford at Camp Carpenter.
