Marauders Sweep Friday Home Games; Frosh Head to Central Saturday

On a sweltering summer afternoon, three of the Marauder teams emerged victorious.  The Varsity beat rival Manchester Central 2-1 to move to the top of the Division One standings with a 4-0 record.  Marcus Helble had a goal and an assist, and Jake Acker scored in his second straight game.  Charlie Adams assisted the game-winning goal by Helble, and has a point in four straight games.

The Junior Varsity beat Central 3-2 on an overtime golden goal.

The newly-constituted Reserve team "Old Guys" beat Col-Val 6-0.  The opening and winning goal was scored by "Old" Alex Roth, assisted by "Old" Andrew Enelow.  Sam Lutz broke a four-year scoring drought with a pair of goals.  Gabe Loud, Tenzing Rumrill and Daniel Felde each scored, and Eric Seltzer recorded the shutout.  The Reserve "Young Guys" host Sharon Academy on Monday at Dresden.  All players from both squads are asked to come to the game in uniform for a team photo.

The Freshman team returns to action Saturday, traveling to Manchester to play Central.  Here are the directions to Livingston Park, the site of the game:

Take Rt. 89 south and then 93 south to Manchester.  After crossing the Merrimack River, take Exit 9 South for Manchester.  Merging onto the Daniel Webster Highway from the ramp, stay the middle lane and go straight at the first stop light.  Go straight through the second light, and you will see the first entrance to Livingston Park on the right.  Continue straight and take the second entrance near Dunkin Donuts on the right.

The Varsity trains on the HHS turf at 11:00, and has a team dinner chez Adams at 5:00.  Everyone's off Sunday!
